Impact100 Metro Detroit is excited to invite you to apply for our third annual grant. In May 2018, we will be awarding a $120,000 grant to a well-deserving non-profit organization of Metro Detroit! We would love for your organization to be involved in this amazing opportunity. The application process is now open and you can find all of the information you need to submit your application, below.
Who are we?
Impact100 Metro Detroit is a 501(c)(3) grant-making organization modeled after other such organizations in cities like Chicago, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and Pensacola. We are looking to fund a project with high potential for community impact in our Metropolitan Detroit community (Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties).
What do we do?
We award high-impact grants to not-for-profit organizations for projects touching the lives of people in our community. Our grant award comes from pooling $1000 donations from our members, who then also participate directly in our philanthropic process by serving on grant review committees and ultimately voting on which applicant’s project will be awarded our grant. For 2018, we are proud to be awarding a grant totaling $120,000.
Who can apply?
We accept applications for defined projects from existing non-profit organizations that serve residents of Wayne, Oakland, and/or Macomb counties. Applications are accepted for projects in any of the following focus areas: human services, education, arts and culture, environment, and urban revitalization. Projects must plan to use grant funds within 18 months of the award. Start-up, programmatic, capital improvements, expansion of existing projects, and research-oriented projects are all eligible for consideration. Note that, although Impact 100 Metro Detroit’s membership is all women, our funding is not restricted to projects or organizations serving only women.
How does it work?
Visit our website (www.impact100metrodetroit.org) and click on the grant tab to apply. The deadline for applications is February 9th. Once we receive your application it will be reviewed by our membership. During the evaluation process, we may request financial review information and perform site visits. Select finalists will be asked to present their grant proposal to the full membership in May. The final votes will be cast immediately following presentations and the grant recipient will be announced at the event.
Please feel free to extend this invitation to apply to other non-profits that meet the eligibility requirements and may be interested in applying. We are excited to partner with an organization like yours to make an Impact on Metro Detroit!
