Come join us for a tour of The Empowerment Plan
Impact100 Metro Detroit’s 2016 $50,000 Grant Winner!

The Empowerment Plan, a Detroit based nonprofit, hires homeless people from shelters as full time seamstresses to make sleeping bags/coats to give people on the streets. They also provide the workers free, on site educational classes. The Empowerment Plan’s goal is to help people earn a stable income, learn new skills, find secure housing, and gain back their independence.
