Members Speak About I100MD

“I fell in love with the process of selecting a non-profit that is helping to change our city and the lives of the people who live here. Before I was a member, I attended the Big Give in 2019.  I felt the excitement and the passion all around me and knew right away there was something special about I100, these women, and the power of what we can do when we come together. I signed up right there!”

“The energy that is generated from Impact100 is amazing.”

Diane S.

“I just want to say how proud I am to be a member.  It’s so important to me to feel like I am contributing and making a difference.  The grants we just awarded will do so much for underserved populations in our area.”

Randie L.

“The diverse membership, combined with defined grant award goals, has allowed me to experience immense personal growth while sharing in the chance to significantly impact amazing 501(c)3 organizations. As Director of Development for Hope Against Trafficking, we face the daily reality of what these donations can and must do to provide desperately needed services for our marginalized citizens. I can’t wait to see what we at Impact 100 MD will do next!”

Janna S.

“I joined Impact100 Metro Detroit because I wanted to get more involved with the community, and learn about all of the people around us who are making a difference. I went to the (Women of Impact) breakfast in the fall of 2019 as a guest, and was moved by the women I met, and by (guest speaker) Najah Bazzy from Zaman International. Through Impact100 Metro Detroit, I am able to celebrate the non-profits that are making a difference AND meet inspirational women and learn from their experiences.”

Jamie I.

“For the past 2 years, I have co-chaired a Grant Review team that includes the Arts & Culture, Environment, and Urban Revitalization focus Areas.  Leading a Grant Review team has given me the opportunity to work closely with other Impact100 team members, and to learn more about our local nonprofits and their inspiring work.  Engaging directly with the nonprofits through the grant review process has been an eye-opening and heartwarming experience and really makes me proud to support them through Impact100 Metro Detroit.”

Heidi S.

“I joined Impact100 during the 2019 cycle. It seemed like a great opportunity to network with like-minded women while serving the community. I did not realize how many amazing non-profits I would learn about and serve through my work with the Grant Review and Non-Profit Relations committees. Eighteen months later, I’ve volunteered for organizations across the giving spectrum at our Impact100 Metro Detroit Gather & Serve events. The women at Impact100 (plus many friends and family!) are working year-round to impact our communities, which is pretty cool.”
