In Impact100 Metro Detroit’s first three years, we have awarded $272,000 to fully vetted nonprofits who are transforming lives in our community! Through your donations and time, you have been a part of this transformative work.

All funds awarded are monitored by the Board of Directors and are distributed on a mutually agreed upon schedule with each awardee, typically a 12-18 month time frame.

The Empowerment Plan
In May of 2016, we awarded our first grant to The Empowerment Plan in the amount of $50,000. This grant is complete and all funds have been distributed. The project was successfully completed!

Downtown Boxing Gym
Our second grant, awarded to Downtown Boxing Gym (DBG) in May 2017, was for $100,000. The grant funds were for intensive literacy intervention using tutors from Beyond Basics. This grant was distributed in four equal payments that coincided with their tutoring schedule. The program is now complete. The final disbursement of $25,000 will be sent to DBG after we receive their final report.

Wigs 4 Kids
This past May, our third grant was awarded to Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan. With continued growth in our membership, this grant is our largest at $122,000. The funds will be used to build Wigs 4 Kid’s “forever home,”, This will be a new headquarters building slated to break ground in mid-August. Impact100 Metro Detroit will distribute the grant in three phases; $40,000 at ground-breaking, $40,000 when the building is roughed in (est. mid- November) and $42,000 when the building is complete and occupancy is granted. Stay tuned, we will provide monthly photos of their building progress!

Congratulations to everyone who played a part. Your generous donations and work are making a great impact!
